Tomei Forged Pistons Kit (86.00mm, CH31.65, 2.2/2.3L, Set/4), 2003-2006 EVO 8 & 9

It is the core part of the engine that converts the power of combustion gas into power to move the car. Pistons in tuned engine are required to be strong enough to withstand high combustion pressure.
High-strength forging manufacturing method is adopted rather than the mainstream casting method used for commercial vehicles. Taking advantage of high temperature strength and high strength, weight reduction is achieved by making the walls thinner.
Excess material is minimized by using exclusive forged material, and prevents excessive machining that results to reduction in strength.
In order to achieve smooth piston movement with optimal clearance, it has an oval barrel shape with coefficient of thermal expansion calculated.
The piston recess is shaped to also support the use of 1mm oversized valves.
Friction loss is reduced by thinning the piston ring.
Comes with pins, clips, and rings that are optimally designed for this model.
