One weak area on the Subaru EJ series engines is Subaru's use of the plastic Bakelite cam gear drive pulleys. Over time, these become brittle and eventually fail causing catastrophic failure and internal engine damage.
Avoid this by fitting the single piece RCM alloy camshaft pulleys which are manufactured in aluminum giving you total peace of mind.
Remember, we've dug into our years of expertise to develop these as single piece parts. Each pulley is made from one piece of high grade aluminum. Other aftermarket pulleys now on the market use x2 pieces consisting of the toothed wheel and an additional guide ring which after multiple heat cycles, will eventually separate over time leading to engine failure!
