Many people experience burning oil and blue smoke from their exhaust, which can worsen after installing a cat-back, J-pipe, or turbo-back exhaust system. These installations can change exhaust pressure, allowing engine oil to escape through the turbo seals, causing the burning oil smell and blue smoke. The PERRIN Turbo Sump Restrictor quickly solves this issue!
The PERRIN Turbo Sump Restrictor makes the turbo sump pump more effective at sucking oil out of the turbo sump. This in turn creates a slight vacuum on the turbo sump creating a proper balance of exhaust pressure and vacuum on the turbo seals, significantly reducing the amount of leaking around the turbo seals. This does not change the oil flow to the turbo or create any wear.
Designed for easy installation, our plug-and-play turbo sump restrictor fits most 2018+ Subaru models produced for the North American market. With no need for cutting hoses, installation is quick and effortless.
