In racing conditions engine oil temperature skyrockets. This causes decreased engine performance and reduces the oil's ability to properly lubricate. A well-designed engine oil cooling system like the PERRIN Oil Cooler Kit will help keep temperatures within the desired temperature range, thus maintaining performance and prolonging engine life. Most setups can see a drop of approximately 15°-20°C at 7000 RPM.
Each PERRIN oil cooler uses a high-efficiency PERRIN bar and plate-style oil cooler core. This core design maximizes heat dissipation without restricting oil flow to ensure your engine is fed with full oil pressure. This bar and plate design is much stronger and withstands damage from normal road debris more efficiently than tube and fin type cores. The mounting holes and hose connection points are also more durable.
The PERRIN Filter Adapter features an integrated 85°C (185°F) thermostat. This means your oil will reach the optimum operating temperature of 85°C within the engine before it is released to the oil cooler.
Each oil cooler kit includes a PERRIN Oil Spacer to allow for easy installation of the thermostat-filter assembly.
Included in every PERRIN Front Mount Oil Cooler Kit are two mounting brackets for easy installation. These brackets are made from 304 Stainless Steel to ensure the brackets last the life of the car.
Included in every PERRIN Top Mount Oil Cooler Kit are two mounting brackets for easy installation. These brackets are made from CNC-machined aluminum and feature a black anodized finish for superior durability and corrosion resistance.
PERRIN Front Mount Oil Cooler Kits feature lightweight Aeroquip brand -10 hose that are rated for 250psi and 300°F continuous temperature. Each hose comes pre-assembled and wrapped with our Industrial grade Pyrojacket that can withstand continuous exposure to 500° F (260°C) and up to 2000°F (1090°C) for 15-20 minutes.
Each top mount kit includes lightweight Aeroquip brand -10 hoses that are rated to 250psi and 300°F continuous temperature. Due to the oil cooler's top-mounted design, these hoses are short and highly efficient to maximize performance. Each pre-assembled hose comes with special high-flow check valves installed to prevent oil from draining back into the engine after the engine is shut off.
Repurpose the hood scoop and open space left after installing a front mount intercooler by installing a top mounted oil cooler. The PERRIN Top Mount Oil Cooler efficiently uses the airflow from the OEM hood scoop to cool the oil. Without this upgrade, the hood scoop serves no functional purpose.
This top mount oil cooler kit is specifically designed for vehicles with an aftermarket FMIC. Engineered to seamlessly mount onto a PERRIN Strut Brace, it's also compatible with any 1" diameter strut bar for added versatility.
